Pre Marketing

Pre Marketing Strategy

Sometimes it might be worth pre marketing your business/product before its launch to ensure that your sales boom on release. I have not tried this yet but if the product is hot it might be worth looking at. It seems that this technique then get people talking (word of mouth) and everyone then anticipates the release of the 'hot' product/business.

An example of this I came across today, Micheal Jackson's new photoshop by Ebony - Vogue. This techniques has already got people talking about his new song releases and word of mouth has begun through channels such as YouTube.

I may use this technique on the release of our website that will put our competitors on the edge and hopefully get our prospect customers talking.

Ladies and gentlemen, Micheal Jackson:

After all, what are movie trailers for?

Sales......

Catching the fish... To do this you need to be a shark.... basically I had a meeting tomorrow with a restaurant owner to sell him some Cobra beer bottles. I thought because he wants to pay by cheque I should get him to sign some documents as a personal gaurantee. Although he knew that he had to sign some documents I phoned him today to remind him about tomorrows meeting and whether he was the actual owner of the place (he got upset). I then asked him if he could have some documents ready as proof of address and signature......... he said this was getting too long winded and he would now look elsewhere. I said fine.......

My thoughts:
1) He was offended because now he could not pull a fast one in the future.
2) He did not want to sign anything because it was likely that his cheques would bounce at some point.
3) I was happy that I saved myself some time by not having to visit him.
